Craft-o-Graph is Kyle and Mariah Jochai, plus creative friends we rope into collaborating with us. We’ve worked for large tech, fashion, and entertainment companies and with all sorts of small businesses. Our home is Portland, Oregon but our clients are from all over.

Mariah grew up in Mt. Baldy, California and was the Valedictorian of her class at OTIS College of Art & Design in Los Angeles. After graduating, she went to work for an entertainment agency, whose clients included CBS, HBO and Food Network. She then switched gears and worked in fashion retailing for O’Neill Clothing and PacSun Stores, where she art directed and coordinated countless product and lifestyle photo shoots as well as created seasonal advertising campaigns and promotional materials.

Mariah moved to Portland in 2013 to start Craft-o-Graph with husband Kyle and faithful pup Lucy. She got to put her print skills to work editing, designing and publishing her first book in 2015: The Rockwork of Daven Gray and The Gingerbread House that started it all. She also takes the lead on all CoG branding and large-scale creative production, and loves getting her hands dirty on hand-crafted packaging and print design projects.

Kyle grew up just down the hill from Mariah in Claremont, California. He studied illustration at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, then went to work managing the marketing department of a small LA-based soft goods company. After that he worked in the tech business for 7 years, managing in-house teams of designers at Quest Software and Dell. Working at such a range of companies has given him a well-rounded background in visual design, digital marketing and coordinating projects.

As a co-owner of CoG, Kyle gets to put his experience to work for startups and large businesses alike, and loves stretching his legs on jobs that involve new technology or innovative business models. He tried his hand at fabrication in 2014, designing and overseeing production of a tank-like, high-performance computer chassis named Compact Splash.
